FFonts.net respects the rights of font designers and type foundries. The fonts on this site come from their authors’ free releases and from fonts submitted by users. If a font is published here without the permission of its rights holder, or the information on its page is wrong, we will remove or correct it.
Font designers: removals and corrections
You do not need a formal legal notice. If you are the designer or the foundry of a font listed here and want it removed, or want its name, licence information or the link to your website corrected, send us the font’s FFonts.net address and what you want changed. Removal requests from font authors are honoured. The font page and its download are taken down on www.ffonts.net and on every language version of the site at the same time, and visitors who follow an old link are told that the font has been removed and, if you wish, are sent on to your own website.
How to send a copyright (DMCA) notice
Send your notice through our contact form and choose the subject “Copyright / DMCA”:
To let us act quickly, please include:
- Your name, the company you represent (if any) and your contact details: e-mail address and, for a formal DMCA notice, postal address and telephone number.
- The copyrighted work: the font name and its designer or foundry, with a link to the official page or licence if possible.
- The exact FFonts.net address of every font concerned, for example
https://www.ffonts.net/Font-Name.font. - A statement that you believe in good faith that this use of the font is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
- A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on the owner’s behalf.
- Your physical or electronic signature (typing your full name is enough).
What happens next
- We review every notice and reply by e-mail.
- Fonts covered by a valid notice are removed from the site, including all its language versions, because they share one font database.
- If a notice is incomplete, we will ask you for the missing details.
If your font was removed by mistake
If you submitted a font that was removed and you believe this was a mistake — for example you are its author, or it is released under a licence that allows redistribution such as the SIL Open Font License — contact us through the same form with the font’s address and the reason, and we will review it.
Repeated infringement
We may reject submissions and close the accounts of users who repeatedly upload fonts they have no right to share.
Commercial fonts
Fonts marked “Commercial” cannot be downloaded from FFonts.net: their page shows a preview and, where we know it, a link to the designer’s or vendor’s website. For the licence of any other font, check the licence file included in the download or the designer’s website. See also our terms of use, privacy policy and about page.
