About FFonts.net
FFonts.net is a free font library that has been online since 2009. It lists more than 170,000 fonts for Windows and Mac that you can preview with your own text and download free of charge, without creating an account.
What you will find here
- A page for every font with a live preview of your own text, the full character map, file details and the licence information we have for that font.
- Fonts sorted by style — script, handwriting, graffiti, calligraphy, gothic and many more categories — by letter, plus the newest and the most downloaded fonts.
- Free tools: compare fonts side by side, the text effect generator, the handwriting worksheet generator and the Instagram and cursive text generators.
- The site in English and in several other languages.
Who makes the fonts
The fonts are made by independent designers and type foundries, not by FFonts.net. They come from their authors’ free releases (for example Google Fonts and other free font collections) and from fonts submitted by our users. Every submitted font is checked by hand before it is published. Each font keeps its author’s copyright and licence; FFonts.net does not claim ownership of any font.
Free does not always mean free for everything
Most fonts on FFonts.net are free for personal use. Some can also be used commercially — for example fonts released under the SIL Open Font License — while others are demo or personal-use-only versions of commercial fonts. The font page shows the licence information we found in the font’s own data. Before you use a font in a commercial project, read the licence file included in the download or on the designer’s website. Fonts that are only sold commercially are not downloadable here; their page shows a preview and, where we know it, links to the designer’s or vendor’s website.
Copyright and removal requests
If you designed a font that is listed here and want it removed, or want its name, licence information or website link corrected, we will do it. Removal requests from font authors are honoured. See our Copyright & DMCA policy for what to send.
